Welcome to Bernie's Two Minute Friday where we will invite you to take a couple of minutes out from your busy schedule to read about what is happening in the world - all with a St Bernard’s Old Collegians focus.

SBOCA Hockey Club - Celebrating Victory!

A quick shoutout to the SBOCA hockey club who won their first senior grand final in September last year. It was a hard-fought game, but the boys were victorious in normal time 2-0. There was elation all round to finally win a grand final after reaching several in the past and falling short.

Congratulations to President Jordan Magdalani and all involved.

SBOCA Bowls Day

On Friday, 5 April, the St Bernard's Old Collegian Association took to the bowling greens at the Aberfeldie Community Bowls Club for their inaugural Bowls Day!

8 teams battled it out throughout the afternoon, the competition was fierce and required an extra end played to crown a winner

Congratulations to Adrian McCormack, Tony Milesi & Russell Chandler

Our 2024 SBOCA Bowls Champions!

Special mentions to our runners up Matt Breasley, Justen Eischeid & Luke Milesi who played fantastically throughout the finals series.

A big thank you to Gerard Mahoney who organised and facilitated the day, and to all our players.

We look forward to the next SBOCA Bowls Day!

SBOCA Grants in 2024

In 2023, the St Bernard's Old Collegian Association proudly supported four Old Collegians through the SBOCA Grant Program - we are looking forward to continuing the tradition in 2024!

We had a chance to speak with another grant winner Mr Ben Lamaro (SBOC 2019) who provided valuable insight into his experience and how the Global Gateway grant helped him make the most of his international studies.
