At St Bernard's, we believe that global learning is an essential component of a well-rounded education. We provide our students with numerous opportunities to travel, immerse themselves in different cultures, and develop a global perspective.

One of our flagship programs is the annual On Country Daly River immersion, open to Year 10 and 11 students. This program provides students with a unique opportunity to learn about the culture and traditions of the local Indigenous community and to engage in hands-on learning experiences, such as fishing, hunting, and traditional arts and crafts.

Japan & Italy Study Tours

In addition to the On Country Daly River immersion, we offer study tours to Italy and Japan, alternating each year for students studying Italian or Japanese in Years 9-12.

These tours provide an immersive experience in the language, culture, and history of these countries, allowing students to deepen their linguistic skills and cultural understanding.

Art History Tour

Starting in 2024, the College has introduced a European History Tour, open to students in Years 9-11.

This 19-day journey takes students through Turkey, Belgium, France, and Spain, offering a unique chance to explore significant historical sites and experience the diverse cultures of these nations, enriching their knowledge of European history.

In 2025, the College will introduce the inaugural Beyond Borders Latin American Immersion to Uruguay and Argentina.

This immersion will be open to Year 10 and 11 students and will provide students with the opportunity to engage in community service projects, learn about the culture and traditions of the local community, and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges facing developing countries.

Global learning is a crucial component of personal growth and development. We are committed to providing our students with a range of opportunities to travel, learn about different cultures, and develop a global perspective. We encourage all students to take advantage of these opportunities and to discover the many ways in which global learning can enhance their education and personal growth.
